A short week of wrapping-up loose ends before we work on a week of science and have our Thanksgiving Break.
The highlight of the week:
The big balls for the girls to sit on while working on school work. You can read here. about why we are adding action to our days.
Math for the Week:
We started Hands-On Equations this week and love it! I’ll write about it more in-depth after we’ve used it more extensively, but so far it’s a keeper!
English This Week
We did end up dropping Sequential Spelling. Thanks everyone for the comments last week suggesting spelling programs. I decided to go with MegaWords and am awaiting its arrival. I’ll write more about it once we get our hands on it.

History this Week
I totally agree about movement to focus and learn better! My youngest especially needs that movement to stay on task and learn. He often stands, sways, wiggles, and taps while working through his assignments. Bouncy balls look like lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteOK, I think my toddler needs one of those bouncy balls.
ReplyDeleteWe have one of those balls some place in the house, looks like such a great idea! And certainly will be blast for boys! Thank you!
