Why I Homeschool

I homeschool to avoid busywork, so that time can instead be used for motivating and rewarding projects.

  1. Busywork I like that. You are nicely saying nonsense work that really just does nothing except to keep them busy. Another great reason to homeschool. They say something like 75% of a childs public school day is spent with changing classes, walking in lines, and disruptions in the classrooms.

  2. Well said! My own mom pulled me out of public school in the second grade back in '86 or so due to "busywork." She said if I brought home one more color sheet she was going to scream. Came by thru the hiphomeschooling blogroll. :)
