I homeschool to avoid busywork, so that time can instead be used for motivating and rewarding projects.
. . . .One day while lounging on the beach, my beloved husband said, "This is what I want to do everyday. Is it wrong to want to live a life of leisure?" My daughter replied, "Dad, you do live the life of easier." And so we do! Here is a bit from our life of easier.
Busywork I like that. You are nicely saying nonsense work that really just does nothing except to keep them busy. Another great reason to homeschool. They say something like 75% of a childs public school day is spent with changing classes, walking in lines, and disruptions in the classrooms.
ReplyDeleteWell said! My own mom pulled me out of public school in the second grade back in '86 or so due to "busywork." She said if I brought home one more color sheet she was going to scream. Came by thru the hiphomeschooling blogroll. :)
